The storyline is that 4 gangsters try to kill a TV anchor but somehow caught by intelligence officer as they have the news about that they are trying to kill someone.
A cop got the investigation of this case who doesn’t have any experience of handling a big case like this which take him to the journey of the dark underworld crimes.
The series starts from a cop Hathiram Chaudhary(played by Jaideep Ahlawat known for Gangs of Waseypur) telling about the universe to his partner Imran Ansari(played by Ishwak Singh)who is preparing for his IAS interview.
Talking about the different worlds Hathiram says this universe is segregated into three types of universes “Swarg Lok or the Heavens” where the gods reside, in the middle is “Dharti or the Earth” where humans live, at the bottom is “Pataal Lok or Netherworld” the one that belongs to the insects.
You will see the simplicity and beauty of the series when he says that it’s all written in scriptures but he read it in Whatsapp.
In the next scene, the 4 goons who planned to kill high profiled news anchor Sanjeev Mehra(played by Neeraj Kabi) cancelled their plan and while leaving Delhi they are followed by some intelligence officers and the cops stop them at Yamuna bridge where they arrested them.
The investigation is given to Hathiram Chaudhary who doesn’t have any experience of handling such big cases.
Sanjeev Mehra the anchor unaware of this incident is dealing with his job as due to continuous unpopularity of their channel continues and the owner wants to fire him and when this news hit him he’s completely in shock.
As per the investigation continues different crime committed by each goon, the first name comes of Vishal Tyagi known as Hathoda Tyagi as he uses a hammer as a weapon to kill.
The creators work on the web-series is shown as to how they create the whole storyline from introducing each character and telling the past stories of each goon.
From the second episodes, dark territory starts and you will see more characters in these episodes and the life story of Hathiram Chaudhary and Sanjeev Mehra is shown.
As the investigation goes on Hathiram Chaudhary finds out various facts and darker secrets of the gangsters where he faces many problems.
The best part of this web-series is it takes its time to clear and set the story in everyone’s mind.
It takes 3–4 episodes to show the incident, introducing characters, describing each character and shows the past of goons how they become and why they do along with the continuation of the investigation. The suspense created is the best part of the series in my perspective.
Dialogue deliveries are the best part of this series each and every dialogue makes an impact and will make you think and relate it to the real world.
Talking about the actors Jaideep Ahlawat and Neeraj Kabi nailed it. The beauty of the web-series lies in the performance of every character.
Jaideep Ahlawat gets his space to show his talent and he takes his space and shows what he can do and this series can play a role like Mirzapur in Pankaj Tripathi’s life for him.
The only disappointment is that Abhishek Banerjee doesn’t get that much screen time as we expected from the trailer…
